The Circle Fan, also known as palace fan and fop, is a traditional Chinese handicraft and artwork, which represents reunion and friendliness and good fortune. The fan originated in China. The first fan appeared in the Shang Dynasty, made of colorful pheasant feathers, called "barrier fan". Fans have been used in China since ancient times. The original ancestors collected bird feathers or plant leaves on hot summer days and processed them slightly to become the oldest fans, which could block the sun and draw the wind, and keep the dust away.
